Jokic Leads Nuggets to Third Seed in NBA Playoffs

In the final game of the NBA regular season, Nikola Jokic scored 23 points in the first half, leading the Denver Nuggets to a 128-118 victory over the San Antonio Spurs, which secured the Nuggets the third seed in the Western Conference playoffs. This victory meant that the Los Angeles Lakers finished fourth in the conference.

The playoffs are set to begin this weekend, with the Lakers missing top scorer Luka Doncic due to an injury, resulting in a defeat against the Utah Jazz, 131-107. Veteran Lakers star LeBron James had an impressive performance, scoring 18 points along with six assists and four rebounds in the first half.

The Nuggets will host the sixth-seeded Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the playoffs. Jokic, a three-time MVP, registered 31 points and eight rebounds in just 18 minutes of play.

Other notable performances included Julian Strawther with 25 points and De'Aaron Fox leading the Spurs with 24 points.
