NBC Launches New Production Lines in Oyo and Kano

The Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC) has commissioned three new production lines located at its Asejire plant in Oyo and a third at the Challawa facility in Kano. This initiative is part of Coca-Cola's $1 billion investment program in Nigeria over the next five years.

The new production lines are equipped with advanced bottling technology to meet global standards, aimed at strengthening manufacturing capacity and improving operational efficiency across NBC's Nigerian operations. Goran Sladic, Managing Director of NBC, stated that this investment reflects the company's confidence in Nigeria's economy and its commitment to supporting industrial growth.

The new facilities represent the first phase of a broader nationwide expansion program that will introduce additional product capacity across NBC's plants by 2026. NBC has already invested $1.5 billion in its Nigerian operations over the past decade.

A socio-economic study in 2024 indicated that the Coca-Cola system generates $1 billion in economic activity and supports 160,000 livelihoods across its value chain. John Owan Enoh, Minister of State for Industry, described NBC's 75-year presence in Nigeria as a testament to the country's economic potential.
