NBF Denies False Claims of Emergency Board Meeting

The Nigeria Boxing Federation (NBF) has officially refuted calls for an emergency board meeting in Abuja, which were based on false claims disseminated by certain media outlets. Prof.

Musa Yakasai, the Chairman of the NBF Ethics and Disciplinary Committee, urged the public and members of the federation to disregard the misleading information. He clarified that the claims did not come from any official NBF communication channels.

Vivian Azimen, the NBF General Secretary, condemned the actions of individuals spreading falsehoods aimed at destabilizing the federation's operations. The NBF is currently focused on ongoing reform initiatives and has already taken steps to address the misinformation.

Both Yakasai and Azimen emphasized the importance of relying on official NBF communications and warned against engaging with unverified stories circulating in the media.
