Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority to Implement 'No Pay No Service' Policy for Airlines

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) is set to introduce a 'No Pay No Service' policy for airlines from January next year. This decision was announced during a retreat organized for airline chief financial officers and stakeholders in Lagos.

The policy aims to enforce timely remittance of charges, particularly the five per cent ticket sale charge, to ensure transparency and revenue optimization. Failure to comply with the remittance regulations will lead to punitive measures, including fines and imprisonment.

The move is part of NCAA's strategy to strengthen the aviation industry, enhance safety, efficiency, and contribute to the nation's economic growth.
