NCAA Summons Air Peace Over Flight Disruptions and Refunds

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has summoned Air Peace, Nigeria's largest airline, due to numerous complaints regarding unexplained flight disruptions and delayed refunds. Passengers affected by the rerouting of flights from Heathrow to Gatwick and subsequently to Abuja have raised concerns about being stranded in Lagos.

Michael Achimugu, the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at NCAA, stated that the authority will not tolerate the abandonment of passengers and is committed to ensuring that consumer rights are upheld. He mentioned that the NCAA will conduct a thorough investigation into the disruptions and take appropriate actions as necessary.

The NCAA, as the sole regulatory agency for civil aviation in Nigeria, continues to support domestic carriers while enforcing strict operational standards to protect stakeholders' rights.
