NCAA Issues Directive to Airlines on Unruly Passengers for Enhanced Aviation Safety

The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) issued a new directive to tackle unruly passengers, instructing airlines to stop carrying individuals displaying disruptive behavior. The directive aims to enhance safety and discipline in the aviation sector.

According to the Director of Public Affairs, Michael Achimugu, pilots are now mandated to land the aircraft if a passenger becomes unruly until the issue is resolved peacefully. The NCAA emphasized the importance of protecting cabin crew and ensuring passengers treat them with respect.

The directive also outlines procedures for handling unruly passengers, including disembarkation upon landing and involvement of aviation security. This move is aimed at maintaining order and safety during flights.
