NCDMB Commends Brentex on $50M Steel Pipe Facility

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) commended Brentex Petroleum Services Limited for its progress on the $50 million Steel Pipe Induction Bending and Coating Facility located at the Federal Ocean Terminal (FOT), Onne Port, Rivers State. This facility is a landmark project aimed at establishing Nigeria as a hub for oil and gas logistics and manufacturing services.

The project has attracted over $26 million in investments and is expected to be Africa's first fully integrated plant for steel pipe induction bending and coating, operational by the last quarter of 2027. Felix Ogbe, the Executive Secretary of NCDMB, praised Brentex for its investment and commitment to developing local capacity.

He emphasized the project's role in creating jobs and retaining value within Nigeria. Chidi Nzerem, Managing Director of Brentex, acknowledged the NCDMB's support over the past decade, which has been crucial for the facility's development and aligns with the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development (NOGICD) Act, 2010.
