NCDMB Launches Digital Portal for Oil and Gas Efficiency

The Nigerian Content Development Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has called on stakeholders in the oil and gas industry to adopt its newly unveiled digital platform, which aims to enhance efficiency, transparency, and global competitiveness. The Executive Secretary of NCDMB, Felix Ogbe, made this appeal on Wednesday in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, during the portal's launch, represented by Manager Emmanuel Yusuf.

Ogbe highlighted that the previous manual compliance confirmation processes led to significant delays, affecting project approvals and transparency. The new portal is designed to reduce certificate processing time from weeks to days, facilitate online applications, provide instant status updates, and enable real-time compliance verification by regulators.

This initiative is expected to improve access to funding for companies, enhance regulatory oversight, and boost investor confidence. Ogbe emphasized the importance of collective adoption by industry stakeholders for the platform's success, stating that it marks a significant evolution in Nigeria's oil and gas sector.
