Nigeria Cricket Federation Seeks New Coach for Yellow Greens Team

The Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) has commenced the search for a new head coach for the men's senior national team, Yellow Greens, after the departure of former Kenyan international, Steve Tikolo. Tikolo's three-year tenure ended recently, during which the team won two regional titles in West Africa tournaments and improved its ICC ranking from 42nd to 37th.

The NCF is looking for a successor to lead the team's next phase of development, requiring candidates to possess a minimum Level 3 coaching qualification and 8-10 years of coaching experience. The deadline for applications is set for February 16, with the NCF expressing confidence in appointing a coach capable of overseeing the team's growth.

Former Yellow Greens captain and chairman of the club cricket committee in Lagos, Barnabas Ephraim, shared his views on the recruitment process, emphasizing the importance of finding someone dedicated to player improvement and performance development.
