NDC Condemns Court Ruling Against ADC Deregistration

The Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) issued a statement condemning a ruling by Justice Peter Lifu of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday, which directed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to immediately deregister the African Democratic Congress (ADC) along with other opposition parties. The NDC described this court decision as a significant threat to Nigeria's multi-party democracy, asserting that it represents an attack on opposition parties.

The NDC called on all Nigerians to reject the court's decision and to stand in solidarity with the affected parties. They emphasized the importance of resisting attempts by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to undermine the political landscape of Nigeria, particularly in the lead-up to the 2027 general elections.
