NDC Grants Waivers to Omo-Agege and Ochei for 2027 Elections

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has granted waivers to Ovie Omo-Agege, a former Deputy President of the Senate, and Victor Ochei, a former Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, allowing them to contest for the Delta Central and Delta North senatorial seats in the 2027 general elections. This decision was announced in a statement issued by the NDC on Thursday.

Omo-Agege recently defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the NDC, citing a desire for leadership that listens to the people and delivers results. He pledged to strengthen the NDC's structure in Delta State and mobilize support ahead of the elections.

Ochei also announced his decision to join the NDC after losing the APC senatorial primary. Both leaders are committed to advancing the interests of Delta State and Nigeria, with Omo-Agege criticizing the state's infrastructure and public services.

The NDC aims to build a credible platform that includes grassroots participation and democratic ideals.
