NDC Grants Waivers to Omo-Agege, Ochei for Elections

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has granted waivers to Ovie Omo-Agege, the former Deputy President of the Senate, and Victor Ochei, the former Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, allowing them to contest the Delta Central and Delta North senatorial seats in the 2027 general elections. This decision was announced by the NDC's Director of Publicity, Osa, following Omo-Agege's formal defection from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the NDC.

The party recognized Omo-Agege's political experience and grassroots appeal, believing he could strengthen the NDC's fortunes in Delta State. Omo-Agege emphasized the need for effective representation and accountability in governance, citing a disconnect between Delta State's resources and the living conditions of its people.

He pledged to enhance the NDC's structure across Delta State and attract federal projects to promote job creation. The NDC remains committed to democratic ideals and aims to build a credible platform for the upcoming elections.
