NDC Forms Reconciliation Committee After Primary Disputes

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has established a seven-member National Reconciliation Committee to resolve disputes arising from its recently concluded primary elections and to promote unity within the party. This initiative was announced in a statement signed by the party’s national chairman, Senator Cleopas Moses, and national secretary, Ikenna Enekweizu.

The committee is chaired by political economist Professor Pat Utomi, with Alhaji Buba Galadima serving as co-chairman. The other members include Mohammed Takori, Babatunde Alli, Mrs. Dudu Manuga, Salvador Moshood, and Alhaji Haruna Pai.

Additionally, the NDC has set up three zonal reconciliation subcommittees for the North, South-south, and South-east regions. These subcommittees will collaborate with the national committee to engage with aggrieved stakeholders, resolve disputes from the primaries, and foster greater cohesion within the party.
