Obi Promises Rewards for Loyal NDC Aspirants in Abuja

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), stated that the party will reward loyal aspirants who do not secure tickets for the 2027 elections. Speaking at a dinner in Abuja on Monday night, Obi acknowledged the sacrifices made by party members and urged them not to view electoral defeat as the end of their political journey.

He emphasized that their commitment to serving their constituencies would be recognized, regardless of the outcome of the nominations. Obi also reflected on his recent visit to South Africa, where he discussed issues affecting Nigerians living abroad.

He lamented the declining conditions in Nigeria, which have led many citizens to express reluctance to return home. Obi highlighted Nigeria's historical contributions to global peacekeeping but noted the current challenges in securing the nation and its influence in international security.
