Agbonayinwa Challenges Dickson's Leadership in NDC

Ehiozuwa Agbonayinwa, a senatorial aspirant for Edo South, challenged the leadership of Seriake Dickson, the national leader of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), stating that he cannot dictate the party's direction. Agbonayinwa's remarks came in light of dissatisfaction among party members regarding the candidate selection process following the NDC primary elections held on May 29.

He pointed out that the party has not yet disclosed the results of these elections, which has led to unrest among members. Agbonayinwa emphasized that true democracy allows people to decide their own fate and criticized the undemocratic practices within the NDC.

He called for transparency and respect for the party's members, asserting that the leadership should not impose decisions on the entire party. Agbonayinwa's comments reflect significant issues within the NDC as it prepares for upcoming elections.
