NDDC Advocates for Equal Opportunities for Children

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), represented by Managing Director Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, emphasized equal opportunity and inclusion for children during an event in Port Harcourt to commemorate International Children's Day.

The 2026 theme, "Future: Promote Inclusion for Every Nigerian Child," aligns with President Bola Tinubu's declaration of the year as one for family social development. Ogbuku stated that the NDDC is committed to investing in children's education, healthcare, and social welfare to foster sustainable development in the Niger Delta region.

He reiterated the duty to protect every child and provide equal opportunities regardless of their diverse backgrounds. The event featured Dr.

Mose Egorerua, who underscored education as a fundamental right and a vital tool for personal and societal development, urging children to engage in community service and build leadership capacities. The NDDC also distributed educational materials, including tablets and school bags, to children.
