Ndidi Faces Suspension Risk Over Yellow Cards Ahead of Match

Wilfred Ndidi, the captain of the Super Eagles, is at risk of a suspension from the Turkish Football Federation due to accumulating yellow cards. Ahead of the Besiktas Super Lig clash against Antalyaspor next weekend, Ndidi has already received three yellow cards this season.

Players in the Super Lig face a match ban upon accumulating four yellow cards throughout the season. Ndidi's yellow cards were received during matches against Eyüpspor, Göztepe, and Kasımpaşa.

He has been a key player for Besiktas, starting in 21 games this season under manager Sergen Yalçın. Ndidi previously missed a match against Rizespor in December due to commitments with the Super Eagles for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

An injury suffered during the tournament in Morocco prevented his return for a game against Kayserispor in January. His teammates, Paul Onuachu and Victor Osimhen, have also served suspensions this season due to accumulated yellow cards.
