Ndidi Suspended Ahead of Besiktas Match Against Antalyaspor

Turkish football authorities have announced a suspension for Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi ahead of Besiktas' upcoming Super Lig fixture against Antalyaspor next weekend. Ndidi, who plays as a midfielder, faces a match ban after receiving a yellow card during the Istanbul derby against Fenerbahce.

According to Turkish Super Lig rules, a player who accumulates four yellow cards in a season automatically serves a game suspension. Currently, Ndidi has three yellow cards this season, having made his league debut against Eyüpspor and received bookings against Göztepe and Kasımpaşa.

He is expected to miss the match against Rizespor in December due to international duties with Nigeria for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. Ndidi's absence is compounded by injuries that have kept him out of consecutive games against Kayserispor and Eyüpspor in January.

Fellow Nigerian internationals Paul Onuachu and Victor Osimhen have also faced similar yellow card accumulations this season.
