NDLEA Arrests 75-Year-Old in Major Drug Bust

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) conducted significant operations leading to the arrest of a 75-year-old suspect, Okeb Samuel Okposi, and several others involved in drug trafficking across Nigeria. The operations, which took place in Taraba, Anambra, Ebonyi, Imo, Edo, Kano, and Gombe states, resulted in the seizure of 320,840 capsules of tramadol, 600 ampoules of pentazocine injections, 4,500 tablets of rohypnol, and various quantities of skunk and methamphetamine.

Notably, Buhari Abdullahi, aged 22, was arrested in connection with the seizure in Jalingo, Taraba State, where a truck transporting building materials was intercepted. Other arrests included Chioma Okek, 32, in Imo State, and Saifullahi Lawan, 19, in Kano State.

The NDLEA's Chairman, Brig Gen Mohammed Buba Marwa (Retd), commended the agency's personnel for their dedication to dismantling drug trafficking networks and reducing the supply and demand for illicit drugs across the country.
