NDLEA Arrests Brazil Returnees and Seizes Drug Shipments Across Nigeria

The NDLEA announced the arrest of Brazil returnees in Nigeria, including a businesswoman, and the seizure of drug shipments across the country. The arrests, made at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos and various states, involved suspects carrying drugs internally.

Notable cases included Ofoma Sunday, who ingested heroin, and Ukachukwu Frank Ikechukwu, caught with cocaine. Additionally, a businesswoman, Okolonkwo Ebere Theresa, was apprehended in Lagos attempting to board a flight to Doha with methamphetamine concealed in her underwear.

These arrests underscored the agency's efforts to combat drug trafficking, with significant quantities of illicit substances intercepted, preventing their distribution within Nigeria.
