NDLEA Arrests Widow Using Fake Pregnancy to Traffic Illicit Drugs
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested widow Ifeoma Henrietta Ezewuike for attempting to traffic illicit drugs by pretending to be pregnant. Ezewuike, the proprietor of Golden Star Creation fashion outfit in Lagos, was caught trying to move a consignment of cocaine to a customer in Abuja.
NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi revealed that Ezewuike was arrested at a bus terminal in Yaba, Lagos, on August 22, 2025. In a separate incident, NDLEA officers intercepted a shipment of cannabis imported from the United States, concealed in three cartons of kitchen sinks at a courier company in Lagos on August 19, 2025.
This comes after the arrest of a church leader, Prophet Adefolusho Olasele, who allegedly masterminded drug trafficking. Additionally, NDLEA arrested former international player Segun George Hunkarin and businessman Ntoruka Emmanuel Chinedu for.
