NDLEA Arrests Pastor and Wife with 11kg of Drugs

On April 2, 2023, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) arrested Pastor Afolabi Hodonu, 45, and his wife Success Hodonu, 35, at the Gbaji checkpoint in Lagos. The couple was found with 11 kilograms of skunk concealed in a modified section of their Honda Pilot SUV.

The arrest was part of a broader operation targeting drug trafficking, which included the earlier apprehension of a fake security agent, Sunday Samuel, on March 30, who was transporting 24.5 kilograms of skunk. NDLEA spokesman Femi Babafemi confirmed the arrests and highlighted the agency's ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking across Nigeria.

The operation also led to other significant drug seizures, including cocaine and tramadol pills, and the arrest of various suspects involved in drug-related activities. Brig.
