NDLEA Declares Drug Kingpin and Associates Wanted

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has declared Nnamuka Kelvin Uchenna, known as a drug kingpin, and three associates wanted for their alleged involvement in operating a clandestine methamphetamine laboratory. The declaration follows an order from the Federal High Court in Owerri, Imo State, presided over by Justice Iniekenimi Nicholas Oweibo.

The NDLEA's application was filed on July 3, 2026. The suspects, including Emmanuella Chinonso Iroka, Nnamuka Ifeanyi Kingsley Ekechi, and Franklin Chijiok Alia Eken Okwunaga, have reportedly gone into hiding.

The agency recovered 18.4 kilograms of methamphetamine during a raid on February 25, 2026, which was part of an extensive financial forensic investigation. The NDLEA has frozen bank accounts linked to the syndicate, totaling N9,840,873,566.66, and secured an interim forfeiture order for assets believed to have been acquired through drug trafficking, including filling stations, residential buildings, and luxury vehicles.

Brig Gen Mohammed Buba Marwa (Retd), the NDLEA's chairman, described the operation as a major breakthrough in the agency's campaign against organized drug trafficking.
