NDLEA Declares Drug Kingpin and Associates Wanted

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has declared a suspected drug kingpin and three associates wanted, following a court order issued by Justice Iniekenimi Nicholas Oweibo of the Federal High Court in Owerri, Imo State. This action is part of a broader investigation into a clandestine methamphetamine production laboratory discovered in Njaba Local Government Area, where the agency recovered 18.4 kilograms of illicit substances on February 25, 2026.

The NDLEA has linked the suspects to the meth lab and has frozen a total of N9,840,873,566.66 in bank accounts associated with the suspects. The agency has also secured an interim forfeiture order covering various assets, including filling stations, multi-storey residential buildings, and four luxury SUVs.

Brig Gen Mohammed Buba Marwa, the NDLEA Chairman, commended the operatives involved and reaffirmed the agency's commitment to dismantling drug trafficking networks and pursuing those involved in drug-related crimes.
