Ndume Commends Tinubu and Zulum for Resettling Terror Victims in Borno

Former Senate Leader, Senator Ali Ndume, has lauded President Bola Tinubu and Borno State Governor Prof. Babagana Zulum for their successful efforts in resettling Nigerian victims of terrorism, particularly those displaced by Boko Haram.

Ndume commended the ongoing repatriation of thousands of Borno indigenes who fled to Cameroon during the insurgency in the North-East. Zulum's collaboration with the federal government, UNHCR, and Cameroonian authorities has facilitated the fast-track return and resettlement of displaced persons, restoring hope to devastated communities.

The tripartite agreement between the governments of Borno, Cameroon, and the UNHCR has ensured the safe and dignified voluntary return of Nigerian refugees from the Minawao camp in Cameroon to their ancestral homes in Gwoza Local Government Area. Ndume also praised Governor Zulum for restoring electricity to Gwoza after a decade of darkness caused by Boko Haram's destruction of power infrastructure.
