NEMA and KSRelief Enhance Humanitarian Partnership in Nigeria

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has reinforced its partnership with the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSRelief) to improve humanitarian interventions in Nigeria. Zubaida Umar, the Director General of NEMA, welcomed a delegation from KSRelief, led by Maje Alanazi, at NEMA headquarters in Abuja.

Umar commended KSRelief for its sustained support in addressing the humanitarian challenges faced by vulnerable populations in Nigeria. The partnership aims to complement the efforts of the federal government in meeting the needs of those affected by disasters.

During the visit, Alanazi emphasized KSRelief's commitment to supporting vulnerable communities and improving their welfare. He also announced the commencement of direct distribution of food baskets donated by KSRelief to selected vulnerable households in states including Yobe, Benue, Kebbi, Taraba, and Anambra.
