NEPZA Seeks 10-Year Tax Exemption for Special Economic Zone Operators in Nigeria

The Nigerian Export Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA) is requesting a 10-year tax exemption for operators within the country's Special Economic Zones (SEZ) to address investor concerns over tax reforms. NEPZA's Managing Director, Dr.

Olufemi Ogunyemi, emphasized the need for clarity and certainty in the tax environment to support long-term commitments. The appeal was made during a virtual stakeholder dialogue with the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment, represented by Mr.

Haleema Kamba and Dr. Jumoke Oduwole.

This move aims to align Nigeria's SEZ incentives with global best practices to attract foreign direct investment and sustain economic growth.
