Nestlé Nigeria Receives AEO Certification from Nigeria Customs

Nestlé Nigeria Plc has achieved the prestigious Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certification from the Nigeria Customs Service, signifying the company's adherence to trade regulations and supply chain security standards. The certification, valid for five years, was granted after a rigorous evaluation process that included customs audits and operational assessments.

Out of 391 applicants nationwide, only 35 companies were awarded the full AEO certification, with Nestlé Nigeria being one of them. The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Bashir Adeniyi, commended Nestlé Nigeria for its compliance achievements despite operating in a challenging business environment.

The AEO certification is expected to facilitate faster customs clearance, reduce inspections at ports and warehouses, improve material availability, and enhance engagement with regulatory trade partners, ultimately reinforcing Nestlé's reliable and secure supply chain operations in Nigeria.
