Netanyahu's claim, reported by Israel's Channel 12 network, suggested that Khamenei's status was uncertain following the extensive bombing of a complex believed to house him.

The operation reportedly involved the dropping of 30 bombs. Channel 12 correspondent Amit Segal noted that Netanyahu's comments indicated Khamenei's potential death, although no official sources provided evidence to substantiate this claim.
