Dutch Football Association Condemns Online Racism

The Dutch Football Association condemned the online racist abuse aimed at Dutch players after the Netherlands' exit from the World Cup. The team, a three-time finalist, lost to Morocco in a penalty shootout following a 1-1 draw in the Round of 32 match held in Monterrey, Mexico City.

Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo scored the opening goal in the 72nd minute, but Issa Diop equalized for the North African side in stoppage time. The Dutch Football Association expressed gratitude to the players, coaching staff, and supporters for their dedication and commitment during the tournament.

They reiterated that football should unite people regardless of their origin or background and drew a clear line against racism, stating that there is no place for such behavior in football or online society.
