New INEC Chairman Prof Joash Amupitan to Assume Office Thursday in Abuja

Prof Joash Amupitan, the new chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), is scheduled to assume office on Thursday, as announced by the Deputy Director of Public Affairs, Wilfr Ifogah. The inauguration meeting with the commission's directors will take place at 1:30 pm in the conference hall of the INEC headquarters in Abuja.

This marks Prof Amupitan's first official engagement since taking office, signaling the beginning of his leadership and immediate focus on preparing for upcoming electoral activities across the country.
