NNPP Lawmakers Disassociate from Defection Moves Amid Factional Dispute

New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) lawmakers, under the leadership of Chri Imumolen, have distanced themselves from defection moves orchestrated by a faction led by Maxwell Mgbudem. The party stakeholders recognized Imumolen's faction following a court order from the Federal High Court.

The suspension of Mgbudem and allegations of anti-party activities, including endorsing a candidate from the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), have caused internal strife. The involvement of Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has also been highlighted, with calls for unity within the party to avoid legal risks and internal division.
