New York City Office Shooting Leaves 4 Dead, Including Police Officer

A deadly shooting spree in a Park Avenue office building in Midtown Manhattan left four people dead, including NYPD Officer Didarul Islam. The shooter, identified as Shane Tamura from Las Vegas, stormed the building with a rifle, causing chaos and fear among workers.

Officer Islam, a Bangladeshi immigrant and father of two, heroically tried to stop Tamura but was fatally shot. Three other victims remain unidentified, and a fifth survivor is in critical but stable condition.

Witnesses described Tamura indiscriminately firing bullets in the lobby before ascending to the 33rd floor, where he killed another victim. Tamura, a registered gun owner with documented mental health issues, raised questions about how he transported his weapon across state lines.
