New Zealand Sets Age Limit for Talent Work Visa Applicants

New Zealand has announced the age requirement for foreigners applying for its Talent (Arts, Culture, Sports) Work Visa, which permits holders to live and work in the country for up to 30 months. Applicants must be 55 years old or younger at the time of application, with no flexibility on this age limit, regardless of other qualifications.

The application fee is NZD $1,630, and the immigration authority processes 80% of applications within seven weeks. To qualify, candidates must demonstrate genuinely exceptional talent, evidenced by an international reputation in their field, active prominence, and a significant contribution to New Zealand's achievements in that discipline.

All three conditions must be satisfied for a successful application. Additionally, visa holders who have spent two years in New Zealand can include their partner and dependent children in a subsequent residence application.
