New Zealand Sets Special Visa Conditions for 11 Countries

New Zealand Immigration has outlined specific requirements for citizens of 11 countries applying for a Working Holiday visa under the Working Holiday Scheme in 2026. The countries affected include China, Hong Kong, Peru, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, and Vietnam.

Each applicant must meet additional conditions based on the bilateral agreement between New Zealand and their home country, which are separate from the standard criteria applicable to all applicants. For instance, the requirements for a citizen of the United Kingdom may differ from those for a citizen of Vietnam or the Philippines.

The Working Holiday Scheme allows young individuals from eligible countries to live and work in New Zealand for a limited period.
