Eguavoen Named Interim Coach for Super Falcons' Olympic Qualifiers

The Nigerian Football Federation has appointed Augustine Eguavoen as the interim head coach of the Super Falcons. Eguavoen, a former head coach of the Super Eagles, will lead the team during their two-legged second-round Olympic qualifier against Comoros, scheduled for October.

The first leg will take place on October 9, followed by the return leg on October 13, both at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne-Remo. Eguavoen will be supported by Christopher Danjuma, the head coach of Nasarawa Amazons, along with Ayisat Yusuf, a former Super Falcons defender, and Olatunji Baruwa, a former Super Eagles goalkeeper trainer.

Nigeria, having received a bye into the second round as one of the highest-ranked teams in the qualifying series, is set to begin its Olympic qualifying campaign against Comoros.
