NFF Elections Rescheduled to September 27, 2026

The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has announced a rescheduling of its elections to September 27, 2026, from the original date of September 26, 2026. This change is due to a conflict with the Super Eagles of Nigeria's match against Madagascar, which is set for September 25, 2026.

NFF President Ibrahima Gusau stated that the decision was made during an extraordinary general assembly held virtually on Wednesday. He noted that many candidates for the elections would be attending the match and would not be able to arrive in Lafia, Nasarawa State, in time for the elections the following morning.

Positions up for election include the NFF Presidency, where Gusau is seeking reelection, as well as the First and Second Vice-Presidents and Ordinary Executive Committee Members. The elected officials will govern Nigerian football for the next four years.
