NFF Mourns Former Striker Victor Udoh Found Dead

Victor Udoh, a 21-year-old former striker for Southampton and Royal Antwerp, was discovered dead in Abuja on Monday. The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) mourned his passing, with Director of Communications Ademola Olajire expressing devastation over the loss of such a promising young talent.

Udoh had recently returned to Nigeria after playing in the Czech league for Dynamo ESC Budjovice. The cause of death has not yet been confirmed, but reports suggest potential causes may include food or alcohol poisoning.

The NFF and Udoh's former teammates at Royal Antwerp paid tribute to him via social media, highlighting the tragic circumstances surrounding his death. Udoh began his career with Hypebuzz FC in Abuja before signing with Royal Antwerp in 2023, and his talent was recognized as one of Nigeria's greatest young prospects.
