Nigeria Football Federation Yet to Discuss Eric Chelle's Future After AFCON Success

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has not initiated talks regarding the future of Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle after the team's third-place finish in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. Chelle, who took over in January 2025 on a two-year deal, faces uncertainty despite the team's impressive performance in the tournament.

Nigeria's hopes for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification have dwindled, leading to doubts about Chelle's suitability for the role. However, Chelle continues to enjoy support from the NFF and players, as well as interest from other African nations.

NFF President Ibrahim Gusau expressed pride in the team's performance and vowed to support them moving forward.
