NFVCB Approves 139 Films for August 2025 - Diverse Range of Ratings Reflect Board's Efforts

The National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) has approved 139 films for the month of August 2025. According to statistics from the Censors Board website, out of the approved films, 63 were rated for adults, 57 suitable for viewers aged 15, one for age 12, and one with Parental Guidance (PG).

The diverse range of ratings showcases the board's efforts to categorize films based on content suitability for different age groups. The approved films include entries dominated by Yoruba films, followed by Igbo and Ijaw productions.

Notable films approved include "Till Death Us Part" by Ovi Studios, "Wandering Stranger" by WissyBelle Productions, and "Esugbayi Eleko" starring veteran actor Jide Kosoko.
