CEWHIN Launches Campaign Against Violence Towards Women

The Centre for Women’s Health and Information (CEWHIN) intensified its campaign to end violence against women and girls (VAWG) with a town hall meeting held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ilaro, Ogun State, on [exact date not provided].

CEWHIN's Senior Program Officer, Julian Afachung, urged stakeholders, including religious and traditional leaders, to collaborate in sensitizing communities about VAWG. The meeting identified harmful cultural practices, lack of quality education for women, and misconceptions surrounding inter-tribal marriages as contributing factors to violence against women.
