Niger Abduction: 315 Students and Teachers Kidnapped in Niger State School

In Niger State, the number of students and teachers abducted from St. Mary's Catholic Primary and Secondary School in Papiri, Agwarra, has risen to 315, up from the initial count of 227.

Rev. Bulu Dauwa Yohanna, the chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria in Niger State, confirmed the updated figure after a final census exercise.

Out of the total, 303 students and 12 teachers were kidnapped, with 88 students attempting to flee. The school had a total of 629 pupils, with 430 in the primary section and 199 in the secondary section.

The abductions took place amidst reports of gunmen storming the school.
