ADC Resolves Crisis, Aims to Defeat APC in 2027 Elections

Ahmed El-Wazir, the Chairman of the Niger State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), stated that the party has resolved its internal crises, enhancing its position as a credible opposition to the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in the upcoming 2027 elections. Speaking in Minna after a stakeholders’ meeting, El-Wazir emphasized the importance of unity among party members to translate their growing popularity into electoral success against the APC government led by Umaru Bago.

He reiterated the ADC's commitment to an issues-based campaign and a peaceful electoral process, urging the APC to ensure a level playing field for all parties. El-Wazir also indicated that consultations regarding the selection of a running mate for the party’s governorship candidate are at an advanced stage, with an announcement expected soon.

He affirmed that the ADC's primary mission is to unseat the current APC government in the 2027 general elections.
