Niger APC Members Align with ADC for 2027 Elections

A split has emerged within the Niger State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as prominent members have aligned with the African Democratic Congress (ADC). This coalition, known as the Niger Rescue Movement (NRM), includes notable figures such as Alhaji Mikhail Alamin Emitoshahi, a former federal lawmaker and ex-chief of staff to former Governor Abubakar Sani Bello.

Emitoshahi announced this decision during a press conference at the IBB Pen House in Minna, emphasizing that the move was made in the interest of the people of Niger State. The NRM aims to mobilize support across all 25 local government areas in Niger State, advocating for quality education, healthcare, and infrastructure.

They plan to work closely with the ADC to ensure a successful campaign in the 2027 elections, promising to engage positively with citizens and avoid negative political campaigns. Alhaji Mamman Musa, a former commissioner for water resources, is also involved in this movement.
