Niger State Seeks Dangote Group for Oil Exploration

Niger State is actively seeking collaboration with the Dangote Group to explore crude oil in the Bida Basin. During a session at the Niger National Trade Fair in Minna, Governor Aminu Takuma emphasized the importance of private sector investment in unlocking the state's oil potential.

The Dangote Group, represented by Fatima Wali Abdurrahman, expressed its intention to retain a minimal stake in the venture, which will be structured as a public-private partnership. Takuma praised the Dangote Group for its industrial efforts, particularly the construction of the world's largest single-train refinery in the state.

The Niger State government is committed to creating an investor-friendly environment to attract further investments across various sectors of the economy. The session also included discussions on homeland security, agriculture, and food security, with Dr.
