Dangote Group Partners with Niger State for Rice Supply

The Dangote Group is strengthening its strategic economic partnership with the Niger State Government, focusing on industrialization and investment opportunities. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed, committing Dangote Rice Limited to supply 1 million metric tons of paddy rice over the next ten years.

This initiative is expected to enhance food security in Nigeria. Fatima Wali Abdurrahman, the Regional Director and Senior Advisor at Dangote Group, noted the ongoing construction of a rice mill in Niger State, which will process 32 metric tons per hour.

This project is part of a broader effort to develop 25,000 hectares of commercial rice farms, projected to create 50,000 direct jobs. The Dangote Group is also a major sponsor of the 22nd Niger Trade Fair, which emphasizes public-private partnerships as a means to drive economic growth.

The fair is expected to attract 300 exhibitors, including investors and business leaders.
