Niger Delta Chamber Targets $5B Investment, 500K Jobs

The Niger Delta Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NDCCIMA), led by Chairman Ambassador Idaer Gogo Ogan, has unveiled a plan to attract $5 billion in investments and create 500,000 jobs in the Niger Delta region over the next five years. This initiative was announced during a pre-summit conference ahead of the Niger Delta Economic Investment Summit, which is set to take place in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, from May 19 to 21, 2026.

The summit aims to drive investment and innovation for industrial growth in the region. President Bola Tinubu is expected to attend as a special guest, with Hon.

Mia Amor Mottley, Prime Minister of Barbados, serving as the keynote speaker. The summit will focus on mobilizing investments and enterprise growth, with Dr.

Solomon Edebiri, the NDCCIMA Secretary and Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee, emphasizing the need to position the Niger Delta as a competitive hub for investment and enterprise development. Various promotional activities, including roadshows across the Niger Delta states and Lagos, are planned to support the summit.
