Niger Govt Confirms Arrest Of Notorious Terror Leader

The Niger State government has confirmed the arrest of the notorious terror leader known as Abba, whose group has been terrorizing communities across Niger and Kwara states. Abba was reportedly captured alive during a raid and has been moved to Abuja for further investigation.

Governor Mohammed Bago's Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, hailed the operation as a breakthrough in the fight against insecurity. Abba's group, an offshoot of Boko Haram with reported ties to the Islamic State, has been blamed for multiple deadly attacks in Niger and Kwara states.

The group launched two separate assaults in Kwara, killing seven villagers in one day, and leaving several residents abducted.
