Nigeria Leads 7 African Nations in Endorsing Petroleum Regulators’ Charter for Continent-Wide Investment Harmonization

Nigeria and seven other African countries have endorsed a landmark charter establishing the African Petroleum Regulators Forum (AFRIPERF) during the Africa Oil Week in Ghana. The charter aims to harmonize petroleum regulation and promote investment across the continent.

Engr. Gbenga Komolafe, the interim chairman of AFRIPERF, highlighted the importance of cooperation to elevate Africa's petroleum sector.

The signing ceremony was attended by regulators from 16 African countries, including Nigeria, Ghana, Somalia, and Madagascar. This endorsement marks a significant step towards a sustainable and transparent petroleum industry in Africa.
