Nigeria, Brazil sign agreement on direct flights

Nigeria and Brazil signed an agreement on direct flights, with a delegation led by the Nigerian President and including key ministers. The agreement was signed in Brasília, with a statement from Tunde Moshood, the special adviser on communications to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo.

The highlight of the visit was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding formalizing the Bilateral Air Service Agreement (BASA) between Nigeria and Brazil. This agreement aims to establish a new framework for direct air connectivity between the two countries, promoting trade, tourism, investment, and cultural ties.

Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva praised the partnership and expressed readiness to deepen ties with Nigeria in various sectors, including aviation, agriculture, and infrastructure development.
